What we use cookies for
We use cookies and similar browser storage to keep the site working, measure how it is used, and attribute visits from paid advertising. We do not use cookies to personalise the content you see or to build a profile of you across other sites.
Cookies fall into three categories. Necessary cookies are always on because the site cannot function without them. Analytics and Marketing cookies are off by default until you accept them.
Categories and your choice
Necessary (always on, no consent required under Italian Codice Privacy art. 122). Used to keep the site running: locale preference, security, session continuity.
Analytics. Used to measure visits and pages so we can improve the site. We use two tools. Plausible Analytics is cookieless and runs without identifying individual visitors, so it stays on without consent. Google Analytics 4 only runs if you accept "Analytics" in the banner. When enabled, Google sets cookies _ga and _ga_* (2 years) on your browser.
Marketing. Used to measure how paid ads bring visitors to our site, and to attribute leads back to specific Google Ads campaigns. Only runs if you accept "Marketing" in the banner. When enabled, Google sets cookies _gcl_au (90 days), _gcl_aw / _gcl_dc (90 days), and may set IDE from doubleclick.net for remarketing audiences.
Google click IDs and server-side conversion tracking
When you arrive on the site from a Google Ads campaign, the URL may carry an identifier (gclid, gbraid, or wbraid). We store this identifier in first-party session storage under the key f4i_gclid so we can include it if you later submit a contact or quote form. Session storage is scoped to the browser tab and is cleared when you close it.
If you submit a form AND tick the "Marketing communications" checkbox on that form, we may share your hashed email address and the click ID with Google Ads via the Enhanced Conversions for Leads API. This is a separate, server-side process with its own legal basis (explicit consent, GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). It is independent of the cookie-banner choice and you can revoke it at any time by emailing sales@ff4.it.
Changing your choice
Click "Cookie preferences" in the site footer to re-open the banner and update or revoke your consent. You can change each category independently.
Your choice is stored locally in your browser (localStorage key ff4-consent-v1) for 12 months. After that you will be asked again. Clearing browser data also resets the choice.
Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. Under GDPR Art. 7(3), revoking consent must be a one-click action; the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer is that action.
