From Zero to Hero: How a German Wellness Brand Conquered Italy
A health supplements company found their perfect Italian fulfilment partner — and tripled their order volume in 12 months.
The Challenge
This German wellness brand had built a strong domestic following for their premium vitamin and supplement range. Italy was their number-one target market for expansion — health-conscious Italian consumers were actively searching for their product category.
But they'd been burned before. Their previous Italian 3PL didn't understand supplement-specific storage requirements (temperature control, batch tracking, expiry management). Communication was slow, in Italian only, and inventory discrepancies were frequent.

The Approach
We onboarded the brand in under two weeks. Temperature-controlled storage was already standard in our Cassano Magnago facility. We set up batch tracking and FIFO rotation for expiry management from day one.
Dagmar conducted the initial meetings in German — the brand's CEO later said this was the moment they knew they'd found the right partner. No translation layer. No miscommunication on critical details like supplement labelling regulations.
We integrated their Shopify store and Amazon Seller Central via Ongoing WMS, providing real-time inventory visibility through Minerva. Iris AI handled Italian address correction from the start, reducing failed deliveries to under 2%.
As their Italian sales grew, we scaled operations seamlessly — from 200 orders/month at launch to over 600 within a year, without any change in service quality or communication responsiveness.
The Result
Within 12 months, the brand had tripled their Italian order volume and Italy became their second-largest market after Germany. Failed deliveries dropped from ~8% (with their previous 3PL) to under 2% thanks to Iris AI address correction.
They've since expanded their product range in our facility and are now exploring using us as a Southern European hub for expansion into Spain and France.
