The Fulfilment4Italy Story

From Loading Trucks to Leading Logistics

Fulfilment4Italy was born from a simple observation: international brands wanted to sell in Italy, but couldn't find a logistics partner that truly understood both their needs and the Italian market. So we built one.

Where It Began

An Entrepreneurial Family, an Italian Calling

Our founder Dagmar grew up in the Netherlands in an entrepreneurial family — his parents ran LIMIJ, a transport and logistics company. After studying Electronics and ICT at Fontys Hogescholen and TU Eindhoven (1990–1997), he first came to Italy in 1995 for a work placement at Whirlpool in Varese, Lombardy. He returned the following year for his thesis, graduated in 1997, and went on to build a career in technical sales, consulting, and entrepreneurship in the Netherlands — but Italy kept pulling him back.

In 2008, he made the move permanent, settling his family in Lombardy — just 830 kilometres from the Netherlands, with the quality of life he'd been seeking and the business connectivity he needed.

The Transition

From E-commerce Services to Fulfilment

In 2010, Dagmar launched Salesupply Italy — offering customer service, returns handling, and e-commerce support for European brands entering the Italian market. Over the following years, the business grew steadily and a clear pattern emerged: client after client asked the same question — "Can you recommend an Italian fulfilment partner?"

These were brands ready to sell in Italy but unable to find a 3PL that combined modern technology, reliable service, and genuine market understanding. After several disappointing introductions between clients and potential partners, the answer became obvious: do it ourselves.

"Every time a client asked me for a good Italian 3PL, I couldn't find one that met the standards we needed. So eventually I thought: why don't we do it ourselves?"

— Dagmar, Founder
The Founding

Building Fulfilment4Italy

In late 2020, we invested in our first warehouse in Gazzada, Lombardy. By early 2021, the team had moved into the facility and onboarded our first major client — a partnership that grew from a few hundred orders per month to thousands in a matter of months. That early success validated everything: the market was ready, the model worked, and European brands were hungry for a fulfilment partner that truly understood Italy.

From there, growth accelerated. More brands joined — from supplements and cosmetics to pet food and electronics — and the team expanded with multilingual specialists who share our commitment to making Italian fulfilment work as well as it does anywhere else in Europe.

Technology at the Core

With an engineering background in the founding team, technology isn't an afterthought at Fulfilment4Italy — it's the foundation. Our operations platform, Minerva, integrates directly with clients' e-commerce systems, providing real-time visibility, automated workflows, and data-driven decision making. Iris AI catches address errors before they become failed deliveries. Same-day fulfilment, next-day delivery across Italy, automated carrier selection — these aren't premium add-ons, they're how we operate every day.

Our Philosophy

We Bet on You Early

Many of our most successful partnerships started with brands that had zero Italian orders — just a great product and the ambition to grow. We invest in that ambition alongside our clients, building the infrastructure to support their growth before the numbers justify it. The brands that grew from a handful of orders to tens of thousands prove the model works. And they keep coming back.

"We're not just a warehouse with a loading dock. We're the team that helps European brands land in Italy and actually succeed."

— Dagmar, Founder
